Girls’ Generation brought out cheers from a French audience with its appearance on France’s no. 1 talk show Le Grand Journal. As such, the members of the group became the first Korean singers to ever make it on the show.The girls performed The Boys on the February 9 (Local time) broadcast of Le Grand Journal on the French TV channel CANAL plus.
As soon as they appeared onstage, the audience at the studio of Le Grand
Journal sent in earsplitting applause, and sang along to the song while
some even chanted out the Korean fan chant in the middle of the song.At
this, the panels and MC Michel Denisot exclaimed, “This is a kind of
passion rarely seen” and “All of the members are so great it’s hard to
choose any one over the others.”In the short talk session held after
their performance of The Boys, the members said, “We’re a group
with nine members. We were picked out when we were little, and then the
group was made. This is our second time in France, but it’s our first
appearance on TV. We’re so happy to hear such passionate cheers.”The
group also appeared in a corner of the show named La Boîte à Questions to answer many questions. This episode will air on February 10.
After their performance on Le Grand Journal, the members
of Girls’ Generation said, “It was our first appearance on French TV,
and we were happy to receive such passionate cheers. We were also
surprised to hear that they knew the Korean fan chant. We’ll work even
harder in the future.”Girls’ Generation has had a great month, appearing
on The Late Show with David Letterman and Live! with Kelly in America, followed by the most recent appearance on France’s no. 1 TV talk show Le Grand Journal.Girls’ Generation also held an interview with the main news segment of a main French channel, M6, for Music Bank in Paris.
